ShameFree takes copyright seriously and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe something on our platform infringes your copyright, please follow the process below to submit a formal notice.

How to submit a notice

Send your notice to the email address at the bottom of this page. To be valid, your submission must include all of the following.

  1. A physical or electronic signature from someone authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  3. The specific location of the infringing material on our platform — enough detail for us to find and review it.
  4. Your contact details: name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use of the material has not been authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
  6. A declaration, made under penalty of perjury, that everything in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to file the complaint.

A note from us

ShameFree is an editorial publication. Like other magazines, we sometimes feature images — including photographs of models and artists — under fair use as part of our editorial coverage. This means we may publish, comment on, or contextualize work without seeking prior permission, in the same way press and cultural criticism have always operated.

We have deep respect for the photographers, models, and creators whose work we cover — our mission is to celebrate bodies and sexuality without shame, and that includes honoring the people who make that work possible. If you feel your work has been used in a way that goes beyond fair use or misrepresents you, we genuinely want to hear from you. Reach out before filing a formal notice if you prefer — we’re open to conversation.
